Straight from Minaçu (GO) Keeping a good general classification after the first stages, the Portuguese pilot Pedro Bianchi Prata did not have a good day when getting to Minaçu (GO). Used to cross the finish line smiling and receiving the warmth of the people, Pedro arrived in town sitting on the back seat of a pickup truck, with his bike tied to the back.

“I started well, passed Tiago (Fantozzi), and then there was a lot of navigation. It was very pleasant, and I was enjoying a lot. But after the first speed control there was water (river), I went in too fast and fell”, he commented. “There was water in the bike and I couldn’t start it over”, he lamented.

His teammate Ramon Volkart, stopped to help, but they didn’t manage to get Pedro back in the race. “I have tried everything, Ramon helped me, he even gave up the race to help me, but we couldn’t start the bike”, says the Portuguese.

Disappointed and worn out due to what happened, the pilot still has still seven stages to go. “I hope tomorrow (Saturday) will be a better day. Today’s special was very pleasant, and this was a pity: I was sad, because I was enjoying the day”, he completes.
