The trios of Guido Salvini and André Azevedo decided to help each other to reach the finish of the Sertoes International Rally 2011. There were three heavy trucks in the test, but, the Ford of Amable Barrasa had problems and left the competition. The two Mercedes-Benz Atego 1725 were left over, and battled between themselves, but, also showed they were colleagues.
Salvini, Flavio Bisi and Fernando Chwaigert had the Best in the ninth stage, between Teresina (PI) and Sobral (CE) this Thursday and wanted to have preference in case some unexpected happened. When it is necessary, one helps the other. Today, I was in front; if I needed his help [he would help me], said Salvini, overall leader of the standing of the heavies.
We did not want to repeat what happened last year, where we battled one against the other, we destroyed ourselves and gave the chance for another to win.
About the ninth Special itself, which was shorter for the trucks, (142 km), Salvini said that he knew a few stretches because he already drove in 2010. According to him, the navigation was difficult and there were many stones and ditches.
Among the lights, Rafael de Souza Martinez Conde/José Papacena Neto/Leandro Oliveira beat Edu Piano/Solon Mendes/Davi José de Oliveira Fonseca, which is known to be administrating the advantage as leader.
The last stage of the Sertoes International Rally 2011 will be between Sobral and Caucaia this Friday.
