The last city that the Sertões International Rally passes through is the capital of the state, Belo Horizonte, with about 2,479,175 inhabitants.
Surrounded by the Curral mountain range, which serves as a natural frame and historical reference, the city was planned and built to be the political and administrative capital of the State of Minas Gerais, influenced by positivism ideas during a time of strong appeal of the republican ideology in the country.
It is also known Nationwide to be the countrys bar capital, as there are more bars per capita than any other big city in Brazil.
