With 3h14min02s05 Edu Piano/ Davi Fonseca/ Solom Mendes had the fastest truck of the day. The merits go to all the team that worked well during the race. “Our goal was to ride well during this stage. When the organization said that this would be a difficult stage, with lots hills, we changed the truck’s tuning. We made a special tuning for the stage, and it worked”, celebrated Edu Piano.
But some usual and typical details irritated the Ford’s trio. “We could have been a lot better, but, unfortunately, we drove for 30 Km behind the truck that started ahead of us. He wouldn’t let us pass, and he only let us pass on the second radar. And then, at the 80 km/h we had bad luck and drove behind the sugar cane trucks. And, in the very end, we stayed behind a TR-4 that would not let us pass. But it was nice, we spared the machine. We are prepared for tomorrow’s stage”, said the pilot.
Other results Second place in the category, Amable Barrasa/ Guilherme Petrine completed the race only 8 minutes behind Edu Piano/ Davi Fonseca/ Solom Mendes. And third place went to André Azevedo/ Maykel Justo/ Ronaldo Pinto.
