Gas station becomes tourist point in the rally

A gas station in Fortaleza dos Nogueiras, in Maranhão, turned into a “tourist point” on Tuesday morning (16): the small city’s inhabitants went to the spot to look at the Sertões International Rally’s motorbikes and quads.

The spectators could even mount the vehicles while they were refueling. 20 year old Ivomara Fernandes, was one of the public. The young woman said that it was a “marvelous” sensation having photos taken while on top of José Demontier Moura’s quad.

Today, the competitors left Balsas (MA) towards Barra do Corda (MA). There were 10 kilometers of initial liaison, 253 timed stretch and 55 of final liaison. This is the seventh stage out of the rally’s 10, that ends in Caucaia (CE) on Friday.
