Some of them found it very easy, but some others made mistakes and lost some time. Navigation in this first stage of Sertões International Rally, between Goiania and Santa Helena, was one of the main factors for the definition of todays classification. Carlos Sainz/ Lucas Cruz Senra, third place in the stage, had tis kind of problem twice.
Just like Sainz, Jean and Youssef also made a mistake right in the beginning of the race. We opened the race and went for a little ride right away. Its ok, but it is important that we pay more attention from now on. When we got back, we recovered well, said Jean.
We had a road book interpretation problem and we followed Jean Azevedo, but he also got lost, and we lost 15 minutes on that revealed Senra.
Differences Volkswagen navigator says that he still didnt familiarize with the Brazilian road book. Its a little difficult, and this is the first time we race with it. Its a little more complicated than that one we are used to deal with, but were going to get better, affirms Senra.
