The Experience category or Sertões International Rally already has its winners. Sálvio Costa Júnior, pilot, and Eduardo da Silva, navigator, were the winners in cars category, in a Pajeto TR4. They won over five other cars, in a dispute that involves inexperienced pilots, and that ride the first three days of the rally.

“We set up a team to train during Mitsubishi Cup, to race the Experience, and we want to bring four cars to race the Production category next year”, said the champion. “We came here to stay. When we had problems during the race, we always try to help our teammates, regardless of the result. That’s why we managed to get the three best places, this is teamwork”, he said.

The next placements in the category were the same as Sálvio’s team, Microcity.

Zé Alarico was the winner on bikes, and Rodrigo Varela won on quads. “There is no such thing as racing by yourself in Sertões. Here you race against the clock all the time. There is plenty of risk and so many people. It was pleasant, I want to come back next year to race the entire rally. I want more of it”, said Varela.

In total, 18 Brazilian competitors rode 12 vehicles six cars, six bikes and a quad for 1,432 kilometers, being 983 kilometers of specials.
